Christopher Conant’s Hurricane Nantus is currently 4-2 and is coming off a 2 game winning streak. I have taken this opportunity to get to know a little more about the man, the myth and the legend. – Liz “Pepsi not Coke” Chin
· Q: Nantus, you were down by 50 points coming into the 4:00 games. After your last loss to the Knights were you afraid of history repeating itself? Or did you feel confident with your new trade for Tom Brady?
A: The Hurricane Nantus is a team with a purpose. After patiently waiting for my time to strike I was able to work a deal and pick up the one Tom Brady. The Knights we're merely a speed bump on my path to greatness.
· Q: Complete this analogy.
Seppe is to You as
Brittney Spears is to…
A: Madonna
So you're going to scandalously make out on MTV?
- “NO! Madonna is what Britney has always wanted to be but never will achieve the success or greatness of”
· Q: What was going through your head immediately following the blockbuster trade between you and Matt? As a follow-up, how do you feel about it now?
A: Following the trade I knew I would have to answer to some haters. I did give up a lot but it was a very calculated risk one I thought was worth taking. A certain Knights owner did call it "the worst trade of the decade". So that really hurt.
· Q: If you do in fact trade The Knights Sidney Rice for a floating holiday, will you make Giuseppe dress like you and have him update BGs to complete on your extra day off? Keep in mind he will need to grow his hair out in order to make the swap believable.
A: The opportunity to receive one of Giuseppe's coveted floating holidays really put an interesting spin on fantasy football trades. If need be I would shave my head the day before I took the holiday. Let's face it Seppe could never achieve/maintain this beautiful mane of hair. Also *no one would never notice if someone else was sitting in my desk.
To Giuseppe's credit that man loves to wheel and deal. He understands the magnitude of what a blockbuster can do. He keeps his game tight.
· Q: Who would you say is the greatest stud and the worst dud on your current roster? What plans do you have as the manager of Hurricane Nantus to improve the team's short comings.
A: Biggest stud has to be Wes Welker, that guy can play. I'm a sucker for the underdog story. The cards have been stacked up against him his whole life but through hard work and determination he has overcome all obstacles.
Biggest dud no question is Run DMC. I'm not ready to give up on him quite yet because I believe in his potential but he has been a huge bummer.
Short comings? Let's just say I want Andre Johnson.
· Q: Will you ever Suit Up?
A: I'm still looking for the pet shop/tailor combo to get a perfect fitting custom suit, so until then...
· Q: After flying under the radar for a few weeks and having a huge break out, do you see any struggling teams in the league taking big steps up? If so, do you have any words of inspiration for these underdogs?
A: JD, god bless his heart, always seems to fall just short of where he should be. I know with his continued trade efforts and playing Ronnie Brown on a weekly basis good things are coming.
This is the point of the season when we get a good idea of who the real contenders are. The cream always rises to the top, keep your game tight.
· Q: Your trademark booty shake - is that something you can apply to ANY song? Or only songs by Miley Cyrus?
A: Some of my other favorite booty shaking songs include Nelly's always classic "Shake ya tail feather" and the unforgettable "Back that Azz Up" but Juvenille. But let's face facts, it’s a Miley Cyrus world and we're just living in it.
· Q: What do you use to get your hair to achieve that perfect superman wave? Is it papaya extract?
A: Superman hair? It hurts to be this good. Fate has me highly skilled and loaded with talent.
· Q: Is there anything else you want the people to know about Christopher Conant and Hurricane Nantus. A Mission Statement perhaps?
A: I'd like to take this time to talk to you about the importance of fire safety around the workplace. It is important for everyone to be aware of all fire exits and the proper escape procedure if a fire were to break out. Giuseppe Leone will be holding a fire safety seminar on the first of every Saturday at his home in East Longmeadow. The seminars will last for 5 hours beginning at 6 AM and will cover everything you need to know. A sign up sheet will be posted at Michael Willhoft's desk.
Good luck this week! Get through you're byes and injuries all our teams are suffering a little bit right now but the true champions will rise out of the ashes and claim victory!
